WELCOME TO FIRECREST

We are a small friendly flying club and flying school offering a full range of training courses for general aviation pilots, based just north of London at Hertfordshire's Elstree Aerodrome. Join our club and become part of a family of flyers.

Our highly experienced instructors have taken students from their first flight through to their Private Pilot Licence (PPL) and beyond since 1984. Indeed some of our ex-students are now professional pilots themselves. With your internationally recognised PPL you will be able to fly your family and friends anywhere in the world. After qualifying for your PPL there is nothing stopping you from gaining further ratings. You can even train to be an air racing pilot with us - we are current holders of the King's Cup - one of the most prestigious trophies in handicapped air racing.

So why not try your hand at flying an aircraft and book a Trial Flying Lesson with us today in one of our Cessna or Grumman training aircraft? We are usually open seven days a week -  9:30AM to 6:00PM (or sunset). In the summer, this is often extended into the evening.
